Clean water is life. Stop water pollution.
From San Diego to Yreka, from urban to rural, there are great swaths of California suffering from groundwater pollution. Some of the state’s poorest communities–rural and urban–are forced to buy bottled water because the tap water is polluted.
Likewise surface waters around the state–lakes, ponds, rivers–are polluted and have yet to be cleaned up despite years of regulations on the books. Pollutants include mercury, copper, boron, sulfates, nitrates and waste.
